In a grand gesture of faith and investment in the future, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has announced the successful launch of a groundbreaking digital skills empowerment program for Nigerian youths. This initiative, valued at a staggering N400 million, is dedicated to the honor of Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s 82nd birthday, reflecting his lifelong commitment to youth development and empowerment.
The program, part of RCCG’s Continent 3s digital transformation drive themed ‘A World of Unlimited Possibilities’, has already made a significant impact by imparting essential digital skills to over 1,000 young individuals across the nation. This initiative stands as the first of its kind in Africa, aiming to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable economic growth through the ripple effect of digital knowledge.
Pastor Oluwagbemileke Adeboye, Personal Assistant and Son of the General Overseer, emphasized the church’s dedication to assisting Nigerian youths in understanding the future of work and equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive. “We are hopeful that in nine months, the participants will give birth to their own businesses and companies, thereby supporting the economy and helping to alleviate poverty across our great nation called Nigeria,” he stated.
The initiative began with an overwhelming response of 12,000 applicants, out of which 1,000 were selected for the physical boot camp after a rigorous online testing process. The week-long boot camp is just the beginning, with plans for ongoing support and mentorship to ensure the participants can fully leverage their new skills.
As RCCG celebrates Pastor Adeboye’s 82nd birthday, this empowerment program stands as a testament to his vision of a world where every individual has the opportunity to succeed. The church remains committed to supporting the youth and fostering a generation of innovators and entrepreneurs who will drive Nigeria’s digital transformation.
