Renowned Nigerian gospel artist Testimony Jaga, whose real name is Salau Aliu Olayiwola, has been honored with the Outreach Artist of the Year award at the LFAD (Love for All Day) event held on December 15, 2024. The award recognizes his exceptional contributions to gospel music and his commitment to outreach initiatives aimed at uplifting the less privileged in society. In addition to this prestigious accolade, Testimony was presented with a cash prize of 8.5 million Naira to support his ongoing charitable efforts.

The LFAD event, organized by the Christ Embassy Church, celebrates individuals and organizations that have made significant impacts in their communities through music and outreach. Testimony Jaga’s recognition as Outreach Artist of the Year highlights not only his musical talents but also his dedication to using his platform for social good.

Testimony has been a prominent figure in the gospel music scene since he transitioned from secular music to gospel in 2012. He is known for pioneering the Street Gospel Movement, which combines music with social welfare services to spread the message of hope and salvation to those in need. His ministry focuses on reaching out to marginalized communities in Lagos and beyond, providing support through music and charitable initiatives.

In addition to his musical achievements, Testimony Jaga is deeply committed to outreach programs that provide assistance to the less fortunate. He frequently organizes events where he distributes food, clothing, and other essentials to those in need. His dedication to philanthropy is evident in his annual outreach programs, which aim to bring joy and hope to communities across Nigeria.

The 8.5 million Naira awarded to him will be utilized to expand these outreach efforts further. “This award is not just for me; it’s for everyone who believes in the power of giving back,” said Testimony during his acceptance speech. “I am grateful for this recognition and will continue to use my music as a tool for change.”

Testimony Jaga’s work has garnered support from various sectors of society, including fellow artists and community leaders who recognize the importance of integrating faith with social responsibility. His efforts have inspired many young people to engage in charitable activities and use their talents for positive change.

The LFAD event also featured performances from other notable gospel artists, creating an atmosphere of celebration and unity among attendees. The recognition of Testimony Jaga serves as a reminder of the impact that artists can have beyond their musical contributions.
