The Gospel Music Association (GMA) is thrilled to announce that Tauren Wells will be returning as the host and performer for the 55th Annual GMA Dove Awards. This marks Wells’ second consecutive year as the host of the prestigious event, which will take place live on October 1, 2024, at the Allen Arena in Nashville, TN.
“Last year’s Dove Awards was such an incredible experience, we’ve decided to run it back!” says Tauren Wells. “I’m so excited to return as host for this year’s Dove Awards. It’s going to be a great night!”
Tauren Wells is a celebrated platinum-selling musician, preacher, and public speaker. With eight GMA Dove Awards, ten GRAMMY® nominations, and a Billboard Music Award nomination, Wells has made a significant impact in the music industry. His unique blend of contemporary Christian and Gospel sound with elements of pop, hip-hop, and R&B has garnered him seven number 1 hits and over 1.2 billion global streams.
In addition to his musical achievements, Wells and his family launched the Church of Whitestone in Austin, TX, where he and his wife serve as co-lead pastors.
The 55th Annual GMA Dove Awards will also feature the much-anticipated Music City Fan Experience, which includes:
- A one-night-only Brandon Lake Off The Record concert at the historic Ryman Auditorium.
- A New Artist Showcase featuring the 2024 class of New Artist of the Year nominees.
- A river cruise aboard the General Jackson Showboat, including a songwriters showcase and stunning views of Nashville.
The GMA Dove Awards are produced by the Gospel Music Association, with Jackie Patillo and Justin Fratt serving as showrunners and executive producers. Curtis Stoneberger and Paul Wright will work as producers, with Russell E. Hall returning as director, Michael Nolan as scriptwriter, and Scott Moore and Go Live Productions as production manager.
