The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) proudly announces the inauguration of Pastor Yemi Davids as the new Chairman of its Lagos Chapter. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the Covenant Centre, Iganmu, Lagos, and was attended by over 5,000 Pentecostals, Christians from other denominations, government functionaries, and captains of industries.
Pastor Yemi Davids, the Senior Pastor and Founder of Global Impact Church, was elected by a 28-member electoral body in April 2024. He succeeds Apostle Eyinnaya Okwuonu and is expected to bring a fresh perspective and dynamic leadership to the PFN Lagos Chapter. His election is seen as a significant shift towards a new generation of leadership within the fellowship.
In his acceptance speech, Pastor Davids expressed his gratitude and outlined his vision for the PFN Lagos Chapter. “I am deeply honored to serve as the Chairman of the PFN Lagos Chapter. Together, we will work towards unity, fellowship, justice, national integrity, righteousness, and social justice. This is a crucial time for our fellowship and our nation, and I am committed to leading with integrity and dedication.”
Pastor Davids’ extensive experience as a church planter and team leader is expected to greatly benefit the PFN Lagos Chapter. He is also the President of the Global Impact Institute (GII) and has a background in Urban and Regional Planning from Obafemi Awolowo University. His leadership is anticipated to bridge the gap between the old and new generations of pastors, fostering a spirit of collaboration and growth.
The inauguration also saw the swearing-in of Rev. Janet Onaolapo, General Overseer of the Abundant Life Bible Church, as the Vice Chairman, marking the first time a female has held this position in the PFN Lagos Chapter. Other executives were also inaugurated, setting the stage for a new era of leadership.
