In a candid revelation that highlights the intersection of personal guidance and global events, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, the esteemed Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, has shared the profound reasons behind his family’s relocation to the United States following the EndSARS protests.
During a heartfelt interview, Pastor Adeyemi recounted how a series of “bad dreams” about potential dangers became a pivotal factor in their decision to move. These dreams, which he and his wife experienced, were taken as divine warnings, prompting a period of intense prayer and reflection.
“The safety and well-being of my family are paramount,” Pastor Adeyemi stated. “The dreams we had were disturbing and seemed to carry a message that could not be ignored. After much prayer and consultation with the elders of Daystar, we felt led to make the United States our home for the time being.”
The move came after the violence that erupted during the EndSARS protests against police brutality—a time of significant turmoil and reflection for many across the nation. Pastor Adeyemi, known for his thoughtful and compassionate leadership, has been a vocal advocate for justice and reform.
“While our hearts remain closely tied to Nigeria and the Daystar community, we believe this move is in alignment with God’s direction for us at this time,” Pastor Adeyemi explained. “We continue to pray for Nigeria and remain committed to our mission of impacting lives through the gospel, whether at home or abroad.”
Daystar Christian Centre has assured its congregation that the church’s operations and outreach programs will continue seamlessly, with Pastor Adeyemi providing guidance and leadership remotely.
