Renowned Nigerian gospel minister, pastor, trumpeter, and songwriter Nathaniel Bassey has gifted fans a surprise release with his latest single “Ó Dára,” now available on all major streaming platforms. The track serves as a powerful prelude to his highly anticipated album Glory of His Presence, set to drop in January 2026, and encapsulates the essence of divine goodness and eternal mercy in a year-end celebration of faith.
“Ó Dára,” which translates to “He is good” in Yoruba, is a calm, meditative worship anthem that blends Yoruba, Igbo, and English lyrics to create a multicultural expression of praise. Drawing inspiration from Psalm 16:11—“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore”—the song features a repetitive, heartfelt refrain: “For the Lord is good, and His mercy endureth forever.”
Nathaniel Bassey describes it as “THE GLORY SONG,” emphasizing God’s unchanging goodness, patience, and presence through warm harmonies, soft instrumentation, and his signature intimate worship style. The track invites listeners into moments of quiet devotion, gratitude, and spiritual reflection, making it an ideal soundtrack for the holiday season and beyond.
This release caps a prolific year for Bassey, following earlier 2025 singles like “We Come Before Your Presence,” “Stone of Help” featuring Godswill Oyor, and “Far Beyond” with Victoria Orenze. “Ó Dára” not only builds excitement for the forthcoming album but also reminds believers of God’s enduring faithfulness amid life’s uncertainties.
“I thought to release this one ahead of the album ‘GLORY OF HIS PRESENCE’ coming in January 2026,” shares Nathaniel Bassey. “The coming Christmas is glorious, and the new year is even more glorious. Odara is a song I call THE GLORY SONG—celebrating God’s glory in our lives.”
