Lara Familua, better known by her stage name ‘Omolara Music,’ has released a new music video titled “Dey Follow Me.”
Dey Follow Me is a high-life song about the Lord’s love and mercy toward people, despite the obstacles and conflicts we encounter on a daily basis. Psalm 23:6 sums it up: God still comes true, and we are still standing.
Omolara is a Maltese woman who was born and raised in Europe. She is a down-to-earth, enthusiastic, and outspoken individual. Her music is likewise out of character for her upbringing and culture.
“For what the Lord has done for me, this is the way I want to spend my time here on earth; praising God’s name, imparting the knowledge of His love to mankind, and ushering souls to the seat of mercy,” Omolara says when asked why she chose Gospel music.
Her music, she says, is a blend of “divine downloads” received through dreams and God’s direct word, and she is committed to worship Him in spirit and truth.
She’s been leading worship since 2010. Omolara’s ability to talk and sing in a variety of languages, including English, Spanish, Italian, Yoruba, Ibo, and her home tongue, Maltese, is a distinguishing feature.
Omolara performed at the El Paso Call to Worship event as well as other local events in 2017. In 2018, she released her sophomore album, “Alive in You,” which marked the beginning of her quest to realize her destiny.
Omolara is the mother of three children and the wife of Oluwamayowa. She is a certified midwife who is presently pursuing a degree in music at Berklee College of Music.
