Nigerian Contemporary Gospel Artist Ofonime Emmanuel Akpan popularly known as “Fonnie Emmanuel” releases yet another Irresistible Sound titled “Ekamba Abasi”.
The Uyo based singer who released Eledumare officially on Friday 10th May, 2019 released his latest melody “EKAMBA ABASI” on Sunday 19th April, 2020.
During his official press release on air on Wednesday 15th April, 2020 in Uyo, Fonnie revealed that he recorded the song to reveal Who God is to the world.
He said: “Ekamba Abasi is a blend of Ibibio and English languages, and a Contemporary worship song proclaiming God’s Sovereignty.
He also mentioned that in this period where the World is contending with the Pandemic Covid-19 that Ekamba Abasi is all we have and this song is a constant reminder that God is always with Us”

EARLY LIFE
Ofonime Emmanuel Akpan popularly known as “Fonnie Emmanuel” is a Nigerian Contemporary Gospel Singer and Song Writer, Born on the 13th of June 1989. He hails from Itu L.G.A in Akwa Ibom State, although he was born in Aba, Abia State. He was raised by his Mother Mrs Arit Sunday and his Aunt Late Dr. Uduak Bassey Edet after the demise of his Father at a tender age. He is the last born of his family.
EDUCATION AND CAREER
He is a Graduate of University Of Uyo (UNIUYO) with a Major in French. Fonnie Emmanuel’s love for music started early where he led the children’s choir consistently at the age of 9 in the church his parents attended. He professionally started his music career in 2009 where he joined House On The Rock, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and became a Lead Singer till Date. He also improved his career by lending his vocals to Gospel Music Artistes like Eno Micheal, Onos Ariyo and Nathaniel Bassey.
His first single “Halleluyah” was released in 2015. He was featured in the Inaugural Release by Play Records Entertainment Limited(PREL) “Anyangha Mi” in 2019 and Signed Under 100% Assent Management Agency in the same year. Shortly after being signed, he released a powerful worship song (Eledumare) featuring Tosin Micheal that is a blend of Yoruba and English languages. The song is still enjoying massive airplay and downloads.
ACHIEVEMENTS
His single “Sosogno” won Best Single of the Year for Ibom Gospel Music Awards 2016
and by God’s Grace he aspires to win more soul through his Music Ministry.
