Gospel artiste, Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa have both filed a Direct Criminal Complaint against five persons for Criminal Defamation through their lawyers.
The Abuja chief magistrate have summoned the five persons over their derogatory post, published against the gospel singer.
The five defendants who are to appear before the court on the April 23, 2024 are Okoronkwo Ejike, Kingsley Ibeh, DJ Spoiltkid, Terrence Ekot, and Samuel Agozie.
According to Solomon Buchi, a Christian influencer, he stated that he spoke to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, Mercy’s husband. He revealed after the conversation with the pastor that he filed a direct criminal complaint through his attorneys, led by Pelumi Olajengbesi, Esq., accusing the five of criminal defamation charges along with charges of cyberbullying.
