The House on the Rock Church proudly hosted the 19th edition of The Experience, an all-night gospel music concert, at the iconic Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos. This year’s event, themed “Jesus Wins,” drew thousands of attendees from diverse backgrounds, uniting them in a powerful declaration of faith and hope.
Beginning at 7 PM and continuing until dawn, The Experience featured an impressive lineup of renowned gospel artists. Performers included international stars such as Travis Greene and Donnie McClurkin, alongside Nigerian luminaries like Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, and Dunsin Oyekan. The concert also welcomed first-time performers like gospel rapper Lecrae and several emerging talents, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere filled with uplifting music and worship.
Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the convener of The Experience and Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, emphasized the event’s mission to foster unity among believers across denominations and cultures. “In a time marked by uncertainty and challenges, we come together to proclaim that Jesus Wins,” he stated. This message resonated deeply with attendees, who gathered under the night sky to lift their voices in praise.
As Africa’s largest gospel music gathering, The Experience has become a cornerstone of the continent’s cultural calendar since its inception in 2006. The concert remains free for all attendees, reflecting its commitment to inclusivity and accessibility for people of all ages and backgrounds.
