Mercy Elo, a singer and songwriter, debuted on the charts with “Woyoma,” which translates to “God Is Good.” “God Is Good” is the title of her debut single. It’s a gift from above for the young artist who, after a long period behind the scenes, wants to share her songs with the public.
“Woyoma” is a message of hope for everybody who is going through a difficult moment in their lives and needs to give thanks to God.
This is what Mercy Elo had to say about the song when she was asked about it.
“Woyoma is a hymn of thanksgiving because it communicates my heartfelt gratitude to God. There were times when I had to rush my mother to the hospital because she appeared to be dying, and it appeared that there was no hope for her, but before you knew it, God restored her.
Then I said the term “WOYOMA,” which means “You are good” in the Urhobo dialect of Delta State, Nigeria.”
This cheerful song is offered in Urhobo and English in a seamless combination. The sound was created by DK Praise, who also mixed and mastered the tune.
