CLIMA Africa Awards 2024: ‘The Rebirth’ of African Excellence

The 8th Edition of the CLIMA Africa Awards is set to take place in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, celebrating the theme “The Rebirth“. This year’s event promises to be a showcase of the real vision of CLIMA Africa: celebration, recognition, appreciation, and the unity of all Christian talents and impact makers in Africa.

The CLIMA Africa Awards have expanded their categories to ensure a comprehensive representation of African excellence. The nominations list, released on April 1st, 2024, features a diverse array of individuals who have made significant contributions in their fields.

Recognitions for 2024 include:

– Africa Living Legend Award: Lt. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma GCON (Rtd), Founder/Chairman Emeritus, T.Y Danjuma Foundation.

– Africa Lifetime Achievement Award: Bishop Dr. Stephen Adegbite, Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission.

– Africa Positive Impact Man of the Year: Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

– Africa Positive Impact Woman of the Year: Barr. Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, Minister for Women Affairs, Nigeria.

– Africa Outstanding Pastor of the Year: Dr. Sam Oye, Senior Pastor, The Transforming Church, Abuja.

– Africa Positive Impact Women Award: Elder (Mrs) Evelyn Uzomaka Odigboh, National Archivist/Director, National Archives of Nigeria.

– Africa Outstanding Women in Ministry Awards: Bishop Tina Bawa, President/Founder, Tina Bawa Ministries, Nigeria.

– Africa Positive Impact Entrepreneur Award: Mr. George Omoraro, CEO, Rage Media Group, Nigeria; Oludare Akande OON, CEO/Chairman, Bellagio Airline, Nigeria.

– Africa Positive Impact Humanitarian Award: Paul Dhel Gum, Former State Minister of Information and Telecommunications, South Sudan; Mr. Nnamdi Kenneth Ukeagu, President/Founder, Connak Foundation, Nigeria.

– Africa Positive Impact Pastor Award: Rev’d Polycarp Gbaja, Senior Pastor, Strong House, Abuja.

Nominees for 2024 include:

– Africa Gospel Artist of the Year:

Tim Godfrey, Israel Mbonyi, Moses Bliss, Dunsin Oyekan, Ebuka Songs, Ntokozo Mbambo.

– Africa Best Male Artist of the Year:

Ebuka Songs, Dunsin Oyekan, Everton Mlalazi, Frank Edwards, Israel Mbonyi, Canaan Nyathi.

– Africa Best Female Artist of the Year:

Yadah, Deborah Lukalu, Mercy Chinwo, Janet Otieno, Winnie Mashaba, Dorcas Moyo.

– Africa Praise Artiste of the Year:

Lilian Nneji, Mr M & Revelations, Chioma Jesus.

Voting for the nominees will commence on July 1st and conclude on August 31st, 2024, at http://www.climaafrica.org/, and participation is free.
