Joseph Habedank, singer-songwriter, two-time GRAMMY nominee, three-time GMA Dove Award winner, and six-time fan-voted Soloist of the Year, is releasing his musical memoir, autobiography. Taking listeners on a soulful journey, autobiography offers a raw and honest portrayal of pain, struggles, and addiction countered with forgiveness, redemption, and the power of the cross.
Autobiography, a 12-track album, features a collection of emotionally charged tracks such as the previously released, critically-praised single, “the basement,” that explores Joseph’s 10 years of sobriety and his transformation from pain into purpose and darkness into light. Highlight tracks “tell the devil,” “going with Jesus” (featuring award-winning producer and pianist Bernie Herms), and “Jesus walked in” (featuring NBC’s The Voice-winner Chris Blue) evidence Joseph’s tremendous artistic and songwriting growth over the years, with each song offering a glimpse into the triumphs and trials that have shaped his life, recovery, and faith.
“This album is the story of my life,” Joseph stated, “but it’s also the story of all Jesus has done in my life. In writing this record, I found myself going back to some of my earliest memories and seeing His hand in the heartbreak, His mercy in the midnight, and the joy that can only be experienced in Him. Because of that, there was no better way to open the record but with “worthy,” and to begin by giving honor and overwhelming gratitude for who Jesus is in my autobiography.”
