Josh Wilson is entering an exciting new chapter of music with his first new song of the year. The deeply personal track titled “It Gets Better” is available now. The song was inspired by Wilson’s struggle with anxiety, depression and alcohol addiction and is meant to be a source of encouragement and support for those struggling with mental health.
I’ve struggled for many years with anxiety and panic attacks, and more recently with depression. Until 2017, I self medicated my anxiety with alcohol, and eventually became addicted. By the grace of God (and with the help of family, friends, and therapy) I’m almost 7 years sober now.
I’ll talk a lot about this song over the next few weeks, but the short story is that whether it’s in this life or the next, it’s going to get better. I love the quote “It all works out in the end. If it hasn’t worked out, it’s just not the end.”
Wilson promises 23 more new songs are slated for release throughout this year. Stay tuned for more details soon.
