Jlyricz, a Nigerian Christian recording artist, has continued his productive streak, releasing new songs every month of the year so far.

His latest tune “Dike,” which means “hero” in Igbo, is a beautiful and calming ode to the Almighty that is as vulnerable as anything you’d hear from a song based on real-life situations, according to him.

“I’ve been holding on to this song for a while and have been hesitant to release it because I’m not sure how it will be accepted by listeners, especially those who are familiar with what I’m talking about.”

“Dike is the most personal song I’ve written to far, and I tried not to make the words too clear, but I’m not sure I succeeded.

I only know that I like this song, that it is extremely dear to my heart, and that I hope it may be of assistance to anyone who is in a similar circumstance to mine. That’s all I’m asking for in terms of Dike.”

Jlyricz wrote Dike, with production credit going to long-time partner E-mex and ad libs coming from Lote.
